The first week was really fun for all of us! We made some pretty cool back to school projects and most important of all, we made some new friends! We welcome Amelie, Daniela, Angel, Isabel, Linda, AJ, Caroline, and Eric to Santa Clara family. It was already very busy for us. We made a project called Name Mosaic, where we tore pieces of papers and glued them on each letter of our names. We also made the so-called "How many squares are there in a name?" where we counted each letter of our names and stacked them like letter blocks. Did I tell you about the project called "Caterpillar Name?" That was so cool too! We had fun making the caterpillar and wrote each letter of our names on the body of the caterpillar. We discussed our school rules and learned our classroom routines and hope to follow them without failing. Don't forget the Daily 5! We started learning about Read to Self and what we are expected to do. We had fun decorating our book boxes for Daily 5 and we also learned some Word Work activities like Rainbow Writing, Curl or Dot Writing, CVC Phonemes, Alphabet Playdough, and sight word playdough. Below are pictures that show we are hard at work! |
