Jesus says, "I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep." John 10:112/8/2015 In Religion, we discover that Jesus is the Good Shepherd and we are His sheep. We also learn that we can depend on Jesus to watch over us, guide us, care for us, and keep us safe. We made this really cool project to help us remember how much Jesus cares and loves us because he is our Good Shepherd. Last Friday, we visited some teachers to read the book to them. They are so proud of how much progress we made in Literacy. Look at our pictures in Daily 5 activities! Sometimes we change our voices when we read. Sometimes we are like robots or our favorite animals. It's really fun! We use a lot of body movements to learn sight words. Here we go!!! Celebrating Catholic Schools Week in Santa Clara" A life of service to others is a life worth living." - Albert Einstein Career Day was truly inspirational! We listened to staff from the dentist office. We learned some helpful advice on how to have a winning attitude from a Football Coach, Youth Pastor, and to Dr. Poore from the Diocese of Dallas. We also got to know the work of a flight attendant and the inside of an airplane cockpit. What a great day it was! Do you know we cleaned the Church so quietly?
Maribel tells us the fun things she and Leila did over the weekend. Here we are working very hard in class! Kindergarten has been working very hard to learn lots of strategies to learn to read. Look at our pictures!
In Science, we love learning facts about animals. This week, our focus was about the owls. They are such interesting creatures! Here is the book and we made a Bubble Map to remember details about them. Here we are working on the project after the lesson. What a fun way to learn! Kindergarten celebrating the Three KingsThis 2015, we really show we believe in the saying "New Year, New You". We adopted a class pet and we named her Leila.
"I know all the birds of the hills, and all that moves in the field is mine." |
Mrs. Peters thinks we are so cute coloring the flag and the map of the Philippines. We learned a lot of fascinating facts about the country Mrs. Peters was born. Quite interesting is the fact that Hispanics and Filipinos are so similar in culture and in faith. | |
Deserving of praises are the generous and ever dedicated parents who brought and served food and made projects for Christmas Around the World. Thank you for making it a big success!
We must not forget to tell you about the fun way we learn our sight words. Here we are dancing to the beat and marching the word!
