Do you know that there is a Catholic saint who was known to be in two locations at the same time? We do! We learned that this week! We also gathered that he was so specially caring for the poor and the hungry. From our reading, he was also so kind to the animals that they followed him everywhere he went, and the animals communicated with him. We really admire and adore him after reading his life story. He is Saint Martin de Porres. What an inspiration to all of us! We also learned and discussed about Saint Peter, Saint Patrick and Saint Katherine Drexel. Oh, how amazing they are! Here are pictures of us creating a picture of our favorite saint. And oh! Do you know that we can write a paragraph now? See!
Writing, writing, writing. We love writing now! In Science, we read a story about a mother elephant and her baby elephant. Do you know what was so fascinating about it? We gathered that mother elephants are so protective of their babies. We also discussed about the traits of mammals. Here is Madi describing why an elephant is grouped as a mammal.
Our letter for this week is letter Ss. We discussed how it looks like, the correct formation, the sound it makes, and we named many things that begin with it. Here are pictures of us making a snake as our project. Aren't they lovely?
Do you want to know our secret in learning sight words the fun way? We will tell you. Look at our picture marching like soldiers and chanting our words!
Here we are dressed up as our favorite saints.
We have lots in store for us next week!
