Did you know that we can also call Jesus our "Shepherd?" We read the book "Jesus is our Shepherd." We loved it! It is awesome to think that just like a shepherd who takes care of his sheep, Jesus also loves us and takes care of us. He assures us that He will never leave us and will always be there for us. We are all so excited to think of more ways to do good for others this season of Advent.
| Look how creative we are with the Advent wreath projects! |
In Science, we are learning about living things. We read the book about a penguin. The book was titled "The Penguin Who Hated the Cold". The main character of the story was Pablo; and he didn't like the cold. He dreamed of living in a warm island. It was so funny! Did you know that Pablo is like Mrs. Peters? Just like Pablo, Mrs. Peters doesn't like winter and anything that has to do with the cold temperature. She prefers Fall and Spring. We had fun discussing it because we answered higher -order thinking questions and some of us prefer cold and like winter a lot. Are you like Pablo who doesn't like winter? | |
Oh, don't forget to ask us about Phonics and literacy! You must give us a bright and big smile because we learned all our CVC words and the given sight words. We also learned a new reading strategy and we are so excited to use it when we read. Here are our pictures working very hard to learn to read.
