We are off to a great start! 2nd week was fun! We already discussed the 3 components of Daily 5. The children learned the expectations of Read to Self, Read to Someone, and Listen to Reading. We discussed what it means by building stamina in reading. Ask them about it and they will tell you what stamina means and what they need to do. Last week, we learned some sight words and the chants that we say to guide us in writing them correctly. To the right is a picture of us busy writing our words and whispering our chants. Below are pictures of us building our stamina in reading. |
